ANI during vascular surgery

05 Oct 2020

A recent study conducted by Dacache et al. has enrolled 180 patients participating in vascular surgery, proving that guiding remifentanil through ANI (Analgesia Nociception Index) is safe. The dosage of remifentanil is reduced, there are fewer intraoperative adverse event episodes, and lower postoperative pain and opioid consumption with the same results in diabetic patients and with betablocker treatment.
